Challenge
Eliminating manual campaign management processes
Leadhub’s priority is clear: securing the highest possible number of leads that result in more business for clients. For Paid Media Manager Albert Salinas, that boils down to helping clients create and manage winning paid search campaigns that yield the most leads with the least ad spend.
To optimize these campaigns, Albert and his team must track a wide range of KPIs and metrics, including the number of conversions, cost per conversion, conversion rate, and return on ad spend (ROAS). However, their time-consuming method for tracking metrics for a large number of campaigns was inefficient.
Albert and his team used to rely on a Google Sheet with custom scripts that would populate daily with data pulled from Google Ads. "Even though there was that automated component, it was by no means a convenient or seamless solution," Albert explains. There was still a lot of manual back and forth when creating and editing entries, and troubleshooting also involved constant manual work. All of this limited the team’s productivity.
More importantly, the team wanted to get a better handle on campaign budget pacing. They often found themselves catching over- and under-spending issues late in the month, when there wasn’t enough time to rectify them. Albert remembers one instance where a client paused their campaign for a holiday. The Leadhub team had created an automated schedule script to re-enable the campaign the day after the holiday, but it failed to run properly. When Albert checked his dashboard after the long weekend, he saw that there was a critical account issue—the campaign wasn't running—and immediately contacted the team to right the wrong.
